Why the 2.8% renewal rate is a timing artifact, not a true rate. 792 of the 818 completers only hit their month 12 payment in April 2026 — just 1–4 weeks before the data export. Their renewal window had barely opened. Compare this to Jan–Apr 2025 cohorts, who had 1–5 months after completing month 12 and show 17–23% renewal rates. May 2025 is almost certainly on the same trajectory. Re-pull this cohort in July 2026 for the real number.
